Pulls for a Mermail Deck Part 1 of 2

I pulled a list from the Yugioh wiki, and here I pulled the cards I needed. It took a while! These are the pulls from the Shark pack.

First Five Eras Archetype Set Finder

Here is each archetype by the set in which it was first featured. Some archetypes get support across multiple sets. This is only a guide for 'this is when this archetype was born.' I am sure there are errors here.

Staples for a Link Cube

There are others. These are the ones that have gotten the most use in 2016 and 2017 tournament play. The list below has staples and then archetype staples. There's also Terraforming, Dark Hole, Raigeki and many other staples that are found in various products. Here I am highlighting the ones that can cost me the most money AND are the most popular by the total found in a small sample of 2016 and 2017 competitive winning decks.

First Five Eras Archetypes

This is a first pass. I am missing decks that are not really an archetype, such as TeleDAD, and archetypes not in the core sets, such as, recently, Weather Painters. I am noting here the first time an archetype had a viable deck. Some archetypes are a stretch, like Crashbugs, and others had a card before there was an archetype, such as Batteryman. It's an art more than a science. Overall, we have approximately 180 archetypes during the first five eras of Yugioh. When we add decks that are not archetypes-e.g. competitive decks, tribal decks, attribute decks; I am sure we can reach 200.

Zexal has more archetypes than the previous three eras.

Arc-V sure has many archetypes. Duelist Alliance has the most archetypes of any Yugioh set to date (excluding reprints such as the Mega Packs, of course).

First Five Era Products

Some genius deleted the Wikipedia list of products. I have recreated it here for my own use. It's not exact, but it's good enough for collecting.
